Family: In a Time of COVID 19

Someday, you’ll die and leave me fatherless
I won’t be able to get mad at you
Nor feel annoyed by your ridiculousness
Nor have your guidance and your point of view

Someday, I’ll be without my other half
I’ll miss our routine walks around the town
I’ll miss the resonance of your loud laugh
And our dreams on achieving great renown

Someday, mom you’ll have to accept your flaws
Take blame for the estrangement between us
Someday, my sis, you’ll know you gave me pause
When I was a rebel without a cause

No more somedays, right now I only have today
Today, a no workday and it’s Wednesday
