Bailey

Someday soon, we’ll see each other, again
I hope the events are not as formal
I hope you see the glow in me, not pain
Because I want us to be normal

I have daydreamed of how I would thank you
You were my angel, saved me from myself
You helped me build a different world view
I am not a broken toy on a shelf

Sometime, the dream of seeing you will fade
Four years have pass, yet you’re still lost from me
Four years of loving, yet you’re a charade
Still, the notion of us, sets my heart free

For now, we are just a faint memory
My life filed like my nails with an emory
